The Publishing Story: Higher Power Selling

Chad Ellis is a career salesman and a lifelong Christian. He came to us to publish his message about how to make in impact in sales from a biblical perspective. But he didn’t have a solution for editing, design, and printing.

So he approached us to help him with those tasks.

Specific Services We Provided

We helped him with:

  • Total project management
  • Macroediting, copyediting, proofreading
  • Cover design
  • Interior design and typesetting
  • eBook formatting
  • Listing his book on Amazon

We also guided Chad as he wrote the back cover of his book and as he decided on how to handle his ISBN and barcode. We managed the whole project from start to finish and published the book August 18, 2020.

He published a book that through Amazon he now sells around the world, sells to churches and groups, and gives to his friends and colleagues.

We appreciate the incredible stories contained within this book, especially the chapters about identifying your personal brand (Chapter 1), servant leadership (Chapter 2), and how Jesus asked artful questions (Chapter 5).

And we’re grateful for Chad’s kind endorsement: “I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to work with YouPublish. Having someone take work that you felt was complete and adding so much more value to it is quite astonishing. That is exactly what happened in my journey of publishing Higher Power Selling with the YouPublish team.”

More About the Book

From the back cover

When selling gets tough and the pressure of meeting your quota keeps you awake at night, where do you turn? If much of your day is about convincing others to take a specific course of action, is there a source that can actually help improve your outcomes?

With an unequivocal yes, author Chad Ellis’s goal in Higher Power Selling is to share with readers the absolute best place to turn for answers to those questions! The best-selling book of all time, the Bible, is full of stories that capture the art of persuasion in action. Higher Power Selling also provides a personal glimpse into what happens when we ignore biblical wisdom and are forced to learn from another of life’s great teachers—the school of hard knocks. The Bible is the source for all sales-related tasks, and it is time-tested and eternal. What we learn when we ignore the Bible emphasizes its importance even more.

What will you gain by reading this book?

  • Develop an intentional personal brand.
  • Learn and implement a practical guide for persuading others to take action.
  • View integrity through the lens of the customer.
  • Lead customers to decisions through servant leadership.
  • Craft powerful stories that will motivate your customers.
  • Enjoy the satisfaction of doing things God’s way.

Chad Ellis has been in medical sales since 1982, when he began his career with Procter & Gamble selling to hospitals in Indiana. He also had early career stints with Kimberly-Clark and Maxxim Medical. For a total of fourteen years, he served as VP of Sales for AVID Medical, Medical Action Industries, and Owens & Minor (AVID was acquired by these last two companies). Through five mergers and acquisitions, he has had the opportunity to work as a Sales Representative, Sales Trainer, Sales Recruiter, Sales Manager, and Vice-President of Sales.

Most recently, he has been a partner in Invenio Procedure Solutions, a healthcare start-up serving acute care and ambulatory surgery centers with multiple perioperative products. A published author and former NCAA women’s basketball official, Chad also served as a lay minister in Kentucky for twenty-five years with an eye toward sharing the importance of stewardship in all aspects of life. Chad and his wife, Joyce (a registered nurse), now make their full-time home in Franklin, Tennessee.
