The Publishing Story: Recreated to Be like God

Brett Andrews, Dale Spaulding, and Sean Cronin from Passion4Planting wanted to have a tool to equip church-planting leaders better to start multiplying churches. They had previously published Launch Strong, but they wanted to go further. Thus, Launch Stronger was born.

Specific Services We Provided

They wanted help with editing, design, and printing, so they reached out to us to help them publish their book. We helped them with:

  • Total project management
  • Copyediting and proofreading
  • Cover design
  • Interior design and typesetting
  • eBook formatting
  • Writing the back cover copy, listing on Amazon, and brokering a short print run of 500 books through a third-party vendor

Our project manager worked closely with Sean Cronin and his team throughout the process, providing them guidance at every step toward publishing on March 8, 2021.

They published a book that is now available around the world to help leaders plant churches in a way that’s fueled by disciple-making.

We appreciate the content of this book, especially their stories (throughout), their focus on prayer as the foundation (Chapter 4), and their focus on disciple-making (Chapter 5).

We also appreciate their kind endorsement: “Working with YouPublish was a pleasure. They walked us through the publishing process from start to finish and helped us turn our vision into reality.”

A Practical Guide to Making Disciples and Starting New Churches

In 1993, Brett Andrews started New Life Christian Church with the vision of being a church-planting church. This young and small church in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., committed themselves to the mission of planting new churches because they believed it was the best way to reach the lost with the gospel. They still believe this.

In the last few years, however, the leaders of New Life have observed that while being successful in planting new churches, they weren’t being as successful in making disciples of Jesus. They produced new churches, but disciples who were reproducing themselves and living as deployed ambassadors for King Jesus were few and far between.

In Launch Stronger, three of New Life’s leaders reflect upon the lessons they’ve learned while planting hundreds of churches over the last twenty years. They offer solutions for how local congregations can renew their vision and strategy for obeying Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations.

Brett Andrews is the founding pastor of New Life Christian Church in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC. Brett’s greatest blessing on earth is his wife, Laura, and their four children. He enjoys sailing, coaching baseball, and his beagle, who will eagerly greet you by wetting the floor.

Dale Spaulding retired from leading Passion for Planting (P4P) in 2020. Prior to his work at P4P, Dale worked as an engineer at The Boeing Company and served in the US Navy for twenty-two years. He and his wife, Nancy, call Fairfax, Virginia, home, but enjoy visiting their two sons and three grandchildren.

Sean Cronin works with Passion for Planting to train, support, and equip church planters. He also serves in various roles at New Life Christian Church in the Washington, DC area. He’s a graduate of Ozark Christian College and Cincinnati Bible Seminary.
